Hey, I'm Elisenda
to pronounce: it’s Ella-send-uh.

I am 27 years old and live along the coast in Ventura county with my husband and 2 year old boy.

photography and the outdoors have been a part of my story for as long as I can remember. We grew up traveling to National + State Parks - bringing along an obnoxiously bright red plastic film camera to photograph the sorts of things a child loves (like rocks, blurry photos of people, and of course, my feet).

I love the feelings an image can hold and the way they shape our memory, reminding us of the maybe hard, but always beautiful seasons in life.

diving into the fun of film again. I focused on photography through my studio art degree, and learned to develop black and white film by hand. while some found beauty in dark rooms, it sometimes felt a little overwhelming to me. mostly because I wanted to hang with my boyfriend (who is now my husband), dark rooms can give me claustrophobia, and I had no idea what I really wanted to be photographing.

anyways, long story short I have always loved film. I feel there is so much excitement to see how an image turned out. I love that you have to wait for it. it isn’t instant gratification. The way film captures colors, shadows, highlights..everything is so unique and special! you’ll start to see some film popping up in this website I hope. while I’d like to give you a certain answer as to where I think my journey with film will go, I can’t. that’s sort of the fun in it. right?

for now, i’ll be including some film images in sessions and maybe weddings! if you’d love a roll shot at a wedding or session, let me know!
